New Beauty Products I've Been Loving (January 2018)

Happy New Year! I took a few weeks off to celebrate the holiday season but I'm back with another round up of the new (or new to me) beauty products I've been using and loving.

I featured Bumble and Bumble in last year's curly hair product post and I've only grown to adore their products more for my hair. Their Thickening shampoo and conditioner are another welcome addition to my hair routine. As always, I don't have to use much product to get great results and my hair looks fuller after use. Winter takes all the volume out of my hair and this is bringing it back for me!

I've been really impressed by Clinique skin care lately, and their Different Moisturizing Lotion+ has been a welcome addition. Not only has it helped combat my dry winter skin, but I really do feel it's been making a difference in my skin texture and rebalancing my oily and dry areas.

I love setting powders and sprays that give my skin a healthy glow, and I've really enjoyed using Cover FX's Illuminating Setting Spray. It doesn't extend the wear of my makeup but it does make my makeup look glowy without being glittery. Tip: Use a setting spray that locks in makeup first, then finish with the Cover FX spray to get a beautiful glow that lasts all day.

I'm a lip gloss girl at heart because they're so easy and super conditioning on my lips. Buxom's Full-On Lip Polish in the shade Sarah is quickly turning into a go-to gloss for me. It's a tingly, lip plumping gloss that gives a natural amount of volume to my lips - and the minty formula is great for touching up after meals! This shade is a great neutral color and has the slightest amount of shimmer to keep it fun but natural enough for daily use.

I'm obsessed with Too Faced shadows and I was so thrilled to bring home the Chocolate Gold palette to add to my collection! This is the fun palette with plenty of shimmer - but the colors range from shades that you can wear to work without looking like a disco ball and the ones you can amp up for after work hours when you actually do want to look like a disco ball! And like all the other products in their chocolate collection, the Chocolate Gold palette has a cocoa-infused formula that makes opening the palette up and getting a whiff of chocolate so fun!

Finally, I couldn't help myself and had to bring home the Peaches and Cream Just Peachy Mattes palette, also from Too Faced. I'm an absolute sucker for neutral eye shadows but this palette is extra special for having such a solid array of neutrals from across the spectrum. From browns and oranges and reds, there are a ton of great looks to create. Matte shades can be tricky to formulate and often suffer from being patchy or not having the best pigmentation. But this palette avoids those pitfalls and has been such a welcome addition to my collection.
