Summertime Makeup Faves

It's a super hot day in New York City today and it got me thinking about my favorite makeup products for summer weather. It can be hard to figure out which products to wear when the heat is on but these products are great choices to look pulled together without your makeup feeling heavy or sliding around.
- Dior's Airflash Foundation provides the best coverage in the lightest possible formula. Plus, the spray bottle cooly mists the foundation onto your skin, which is a lovely treat on a hot day.
- Dior's Flash Luminizer Pen color corrects, conceals and brightens my under eye area without being heavy at all. The convenient pen applicator makes it great for throwing in the purse for touch ups if needed, too.
- All good makeup starts with a good base - and Giorgio Armani's Maestro UV Primer creates a great base and super high SPF 50 sunscreen protection. It's one of the few SPF-based primers that doesn't break me me out or clog pores.
- Setting powders are clutch - Dior's Forever powder foundation adds extra coverage if necessary and has a long-lasting formula that keeps everything in place. Givenchy's Prisme Libre powder is a rediscovered item for me. It's fantastic for baking or for taking down color if my foundation looks a little off in color.
- Hourglass recently expanded its Ambient Lighting Bronzer collection, and the shade Nude Bronze Light is a welcome addition to the range for fairer skin tones like mine to have a bronzed flush. This beautiful and luminous powder formula is now available for a greater range of skin tones, so even more people can have a chance to experience this range.
- Additionally, the Ambient Strobe Lighting Blushes from Hourglass add to their line of blushes that incorporate their other powder formulas for a two-in-one benefit of blush and highlight. You'll look glowy and summery without having to double up on extra products if you don't want to.
- But, if you're a highlighter fan like me, check out Laura Mercier's Face Illuminator range - launched last year, these highlighters are fantastic at creating glowy skin without shimmer or sparkle.
- For a quick lip look, I love Chanel's Rouge Coco Glosses. They're pigmented enough to provide great color payoff and they're super moisturizing without being sticky or goopy.
- Warm eye looks are my favorites, but the new NARS Narsissist Loaded eyeshadow palette is so amazing! It's warm and summery with lots of great metallics. I find myself turning to this palette a lot these days.
- To finish off my eyes, I love using brow, liner and lash products that won't melt in the heat or under sweat - and especially can work with my eyes when I've got a bad allergy day at hand. Nothing fills in and locks in brows quite like Anastasia Beverly Hills's Dipbrow Pomade and clear brow gel. Urban Decay's 24/7 eyeliner pencils are richly pigmented and won't budge until it's time to wash your face at the end of the day. And Too Faced's Better Than Sex Waterproof mascara takes the cult mascara that everyone loves and turns it into a budge-proof, tear-proof and sweat-proof waterproof formula that holds up all summer long.
