Superhero/Avengers Gift Wrap!
I jump at the chance to gift wrap because it's my favorite form of crafting! I had such fun wrapping up presents that my friend and I purchased for a birthday party celebrating our friend's sons. They love superheroes and it gave me a chance to think outside of the box for creating some Avengers-themed gift wrap and birthday cards. Here's a quick tutorial on how I created this super-awesome superhero look!
I started by wrapping up each box in blue and red paper. Each box was secured with adhesive dots to prevent shifting while I worked.
Google Images is my friend! I can't draw at all, but I do love graphic prints for gift wrap. These two little guys love superheroes too much for a satin ribbon to tie everything up, so I instead searched for Avengers comic panels until I came across this image. I replicated it a few times, adding navy and red borders to fit the color theme. I then printed the panels on craft paper and cut and paste each panel onto the gifts to act as a traditional ribbon.
But what would an Avengers-themed gift be without the actual superheroes springing into action? Turning again to Google Images, I searched for the perfect cartoon picture of the Avengers prepping for battle. After printing it on card stock, I cut out the negative space and balanced the image on a card stock platform so that the Avengers are literally leaping into action, which these two pictures show.
I then created a large tag to send birthday wishes to the birthday boys! To make the sign a little more special, I used edging scissors to create a jagged edge along the perimeter. And I swear, the sign is on straight - I was just off balance taking the picture!
Of course, a homemade card tops off the whole affair! I used my Avengers gift topper as the main image to create the cover of the birthday card. And on the inside, I used some stampers to create fun text on the inside. To finish the card, I used a 1-inch edge punch to make all the corners of the card completely rounded.

And it's that simple! Wrapping gifts really is more simple than it looks - but by spending a little extra time adding personal touches, you'll create something that looks super cool all while making your present feel so much more special because of the thought that went into the presentation. I hope the birthday boys have a fun time with their gifts!
